Kosove produced, along with John Baldecchi, Chris Taylor and Kurt Wimmer. Alcon principals Broderick Johnson and Andrew A. Joe: Retaliation,” “November Man”) as Johnny Utah, along with Ray Winstone (“Noah,” “The Departed”), Teresa Palmer (“Warm Bodies”) and Delroy Lindo (“Sahara,” “Gone in Sixty Seconds”), under the direction of Ericson Core (“Invincible”).Ĭore directed from a screenplay by Kurt Wimmer (“Salt,” “Law Abiding Citizen”). The film stars Édgar RamÃrez (“Zero Dark Thirty,” “The Bourne Ultimatum,” “Carlos the Jackal”) as Bodhi, and Luke Bracey (“G.I. These action adventure feats are performed by extreme athletes representing the world’s best in class in big-wave surfing, wingsuit flying, sheer-face snowboarding, free rock climbing, and high-speed motorcycling. The film is replete with the most daring athleticism ever seen in a motion picture. Now that’s the official synopsis and below the following picture of Ramirez is a lot more official text bragging about the film, but first let me say the film also features Ray Winstone, Teresa Palmer and Delroy Lindo. Deep undercover, and with his life in imminent danger, Utah strives to prove they are the callous architects of these inconceivable crimes. The athletes are suspected of carrying out a string of staggering crimes that kill innocent people and send the world’s economy into a tailspin. This updated version will follow a similar premise as the first as a young FBI agent, Johnny Utah (Bracey), infiltrates a cunning team of thrill seeking elite athletes, led by the charismatic Bodhi (Ramirez). One week after Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, which is to say… we’ll see how this turns out. The duo are playing roles made popular by Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze in Kathryn Bigelow‘s 1991 film, and for many this remake is completely unnecessary, but it’s set to arrive on December 25 nonetheless. I give 1991's "Point Break" a 7.5/10.Apparently the first look at the upcoming Point Break remake from director Ericson Core was shown during CinemaCon down in Las Vegas yesterday and with that comes the first looks at Luke Bracey and Edgar Ramirez in the film playing FBI agent Johnny Utah and extreme sports enthusiast and criminal Bodhi respectively. Although the movie is not perfect it has some issues, these being an unentertaining climax, a weak performance from "Keanu Reeves" and a weak death. If you are a person who enjoys 1990's Action movies then I recommend you watch "Point Break" as it has a great plot, thrilling scenes mixed with amazing music. The late "Donald Peterman" filmed "Point Break" exceptionally using no close ups or shaking the camera. In past "Mark Isham" has created thrilling and exciting music for his films and "Point Break" is no exception. "Reeves" gives the audience a calm performance instead of a strong and angry performance, as he should. It doesn't feel like "Keanu Reeves" is truly giving one hundred percent to his role as "Utah". "Keanu Reeves" isn't one of "Hollywood's" best actors in fact he receives a lot of hate for this. The film's climax is actually disappointing as it is unentertaining due to the unsatisfactory justice of the antagonist. The action sequences are extremely entertaining to watch, they make it look like "Utah"" is truly about to get hurt. Throughout the movie it shows "Utah" and "Pappas" busting big criminals. This is a great opening to the film as it shows what the movie is about. The movie opens with "Utah" practicing his shooting while mixed with scenes of people surfing. Once knowing this "Utah" goes undercover to find out who the "Ex- Presidents" really are. ![]() "Utah's" co-worker "Angelo Pappas" portrayed by "Gary Busey" has a theory that the "Ex- Presidents" are surfers. ![]() The plot to "Point Break" is a young "Johnny Utah" portrayed by "Keanu Reeves" joins the "F.B.I." and takes on the new case of a group of 4 bank robbers named the "Ex-Presidents. "Point Break" captures the thrill and intensity of a 1990's classic.
